Usage Instructions

Pre‑Operative Surgical Hand Disinfection

1. Wet hands and forearms.
2. Apply 5ml HiBiWash® and wash for 1 minute, cleaning fingernails if needed.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Apply a second 5ml and wash for 2 minutes.
5. Rinse and dry completely.

Ward Antiseptic Hand Wash

• Wet hands and forearms.
• Apply 5ml, wash for 1 minute, then rinse and dry.

Pre‑Operative Patient Skin Cleansing

Patients should wash their entire body twice—typically the day before and the day of surgery.

• Use 25ml per wash
• Start at the face and work downwards
• Pay special attention to: nose, axillae, umbilicus, groin, perineum
• Rinse and repeat, including hair
• Dry with a clean towel before standard theatre disinfection

Post‑Operative Skin Cleansing

From day three post‑surgery, wash the body (excluding the wound site) following the same method as pre‑operative cleansing.

Children and elderly patients may follow standard adult dosing unless a healthcare professional advises otherwise.
